What I love about the St. Louis metropolitan area
Being from Southern Illinois, it was always exciting to make a trip to St. Louis because that was where there was something fun to do. We have frequently gone to St. Louis Cardinals games, the Six Flags amusement park, the Magic House, and the St. Louis Zoo. But most importantly now, we love to come to St. Louis to visit with our daughter, son-in-law, and grandson, who live in Crestwood.

What I love about the St. Louis metropolitan area
I’m originally from Kansas City and am a Royals and Chiefs fan. St. Louis, however, is an incredible place. The baseball history here is amazing. A ballgame at Busch Stadium is a memorable time. The St. Louis Blues hockey team is outstanding and easy to follow. Not only are professional sports great here, but there is a rich cultural heritage as well. The museums at Forest Park are outstanding and I love the Civil War Museum at Jefferson Barracks.

What I love about the St. Louis metropolitan area
“Having been born in STL, I’m an avid St. Louis Blues and Cardinals fan. Beyond the many great historical sites to visit, some of my favorite places to hang out are: the zoo (it’s free), Laumeier Sculpture Park, and Creve Coeur Lake. Being a STL native, I love being asked the favorite STL question all the time – ‘What high school did you attend?’”

Scott and his wife Lisa have been married for thirty-five years and have two children and five grandchildren. Scott’s an avid sports fan and coached the Soldiers basketball team for nine years, as well as the baseball team for two.

What I love about the St. Louis metropolitan area
“I have lived my entire life in the St. Louis area, and it truly does feel like the happy medium. It is a large enough area that there is a wide array of cultural experiences, we are not wanting for opportunities, and it is a destination in its own right. Yet, it is also small enough that the costs of living are quite manageable and it is easy enough to get out and away from things when I want to do that. We have great sports teams, world class food (you NEED to try some of the places on the Hill), and we get to experience every last bit of all four seasons.”
