Working Adults

St. Louis Christian College offers a variety of programs for non-traditional students. Besides our traditional day program, adults have the option of pursuing accelerated degrees by attending evening classes once a week. Students may work towards both associates and bachelor degrees. SLCC makes earning your degree convenient and affordable.

Credit for Prior Learning, Training, and Life Experience

Adult students can complete their degree more quickly by taking advantage of the Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) option (also called “Credit by Demonstrated Competency” - CDC). Students may be eligible for up to 30 hours of credit for vocational training or life (including military) experience. Besides CPL students may transfer credits from other accredited colleges, universities, etc. or even take advantage of the College Level Examination Program (CLEP).

SLCC’s goal is to help adult students obtain their degree quickly at a low cost. Our accredited courses and degree programs qualify students for federal financial aid programs. Additionally, our scholarship programs can assist you in reducing your overall cost of attendance.

SLCC’s evening courses, both at our main campus and at our extension site, allow working adults to learn when their schedule allows, providing maximum flexibility and convenience.
